Several mental health and well-being supports exist on campus and in the community for International students.

Esprit Womens Shelter

Offers emergency shelter and assistance for women and children in the District of Parry Sound who find themselves in crisis. Priority is given to women leaving abusive situations. All services and programs are voluntary, free of charge, and confidential.

Every Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday by appointment only. The wait can be 2-3 weeks but if you qualify, emergency food can be accessed Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 1:30pm to 2:45pm.

BounceBack gives residents of Ontario aged 15+ access to free materials and resources that can be customized to fit their individual mental health needs whether they are feeling low, stressed out, worried, depressed, irritable, angry, or apathetic. Registrants will have access to workbooks, activities, videos, and a trained coach who can provide up to six telephone sessions. Connex Ontario is available to connect the people of Ontario to mental health, addictions, and problem gambling services. Connex Ontario’s confidential and free services are available 24/7. Good2T alk is a free, confidential support helpline available 24/7 to post-secondary students in Ontario. If you need support or are unsure where to start, you may find Good2T alk’s personal growth and well-being resources helpful. The Hope for Wellness Helpline is available to all Indigenous people across Canada. Experienced and culturally competent counsellors are reachable by telephone and online ‘chat’ 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
