Several mental health and well-being supports exist on campus and in the community for International students.

ACNBA’s mission is to assist and support all people infected and/or affected by HIV/AIDS and/or Hepatitis C and to limit the spread of the viruses through education, outreach, and treatment strategies. For more information please visit the ACNBA website

Amelia Rising Sexual Violence Support Centre provides free, completely confidential support for people 12 years of age and older who have experienced sexual or gender-based violence. For more information please visit the Amelia Rising website

The Canadian Mental Health Association provides collaborative support, advocacy, and sustainable housing to those who have a serious and persistent mental illness, and who may also have other medical and/or behavioural complexities. Giiwedno Mshkikiiwgamig staff will work in collaboration with you and/or your family member to support the healing path of your choice. If you choose, your health provider will collaborate with the traditional healing team, so that you also have access to traditional Indigenous medicines and practices. The North Bay and District Multicultural Centre supports the full, equal, and valued participation of newcomers in all aspects of community life. They serve the settlement needs of newcomers from Parry Sound in the south and James Bay in the north, Mattawa in the east, and Verner in the west. The North Bay Indigenous Friendship Centre provides a wide array of programs and services to support Indigenous people of all ages. The Centre is a place where Indigenous culture is celebrated, friendships are made, knowledge and skills are shared, and good times are enjoyed. OUTLoud North Bay supports the health and well-being of the 2SLGBTQIA+ youth and allies of North Bay and surrounding communities, through workshops, professional services, collaborations, and a safe space. For more information please visit the OUTLoud Website

Body Brave is a charity that provides accessible person-centred, compassionate care for anyone struggling with or at risk of an eating disorder. For more information on this program please visit their website: Eating Disorder Treatment | Body Brave | Hamilton.

BounceBack gives residents of Ontario aged 15+ access to free materials and resources that can be customized to fit their individual mental health needs whether they are feeling low, stressed out, worried, depressed, irritable, angry, or apathetic. Registrants will have access to workbooks, activities, videos, and a trained coach who can provide up to six telephone sessions. Connex Ontario is available to connect the people of Ontario to mental health, addictions, and problem gambling services. Connex Ontario’s confidential and free services are available 24/7. Good2T alk is a free, confidential support helpline available 24/7 to post-secondary students in Ontario. If you need support or are unsure where to start, you may find Good2T alk’s personal growth and well-being resources helpful. The Hope for Wellness Helpline is available to all Indigenous people across Canada. Experienced and culturally competent counsellors are reachable by telephone and online ‘chat’ 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Both telephone and online chat services are available in English and French. Telephone support is also available upon request in Cree, Ojibway (Anishinaabemowin) and Inuktitut.

LGBT Youthline is a 2SLGBTQ+ youth-led peer support organization that affirms and supports the experiences of youth (29 and under) across Ontario. Youthline provides anonymous peer support, referrals, training and resources.
