The Canadore Students' Council, comprised of elected representatives from the student body, aims to develop a cohesive on-campus programming model that promotes cultural, educational, social, wellness, and athletic development at Canadore College. This dedicated group of students works tirelessly to enhance the college experience, organizing events, addressing student concerns, and cultivating a positive school environment. Each member brings forward the needs, views, and opinions of their respective campuses within the CSC, votes on important matters during meetings, and represents students' perspectives on various committees.
President
- Attends CSC meetings to vote on and address student body concerns, highlighting areas that need improvement to enhance the overall student experience.
- Advocates for students' best interests on committees and can speak to a student’s point of view and represent that in good faith.
- Diligently undertakes tasks with integrity and efficiency, assisting the Welcome Centre in maintaining the space and supporting the food bank.
Vice President of Operations
- Participates in CSC meetings to vote on motions and contribute their perspectives.
- Responsible for all the campus representatives and facilitates events/programming.
- Attends committee meetings to represent student’s best interests and contribute to the campus community on a whole.
- Ensures all policies are up-to-date for the Canadore Students' Council.
Vice President of Student Life
- Participates in CSC meetings and votes on motions.
- Manages student complaints and assists with resolving issues.
- Sits on appeal committees as required including handling involuntary withdrawals and residence evictions.
- Responsible for all aspects pertaining to Clubs and Associations.
Campus Representative
- Advocates for the needs, views, and opinions of their respective campuses with the CSC.
- Votes on various matters during CSC meetings.
- Represents students' perspectives on various committees.

Jolene Carter, President
Please join us in congratulating Jolene Carter as the successful candidate for the 2024-2025 CSC Spring Elections and incoming Canadore Students’ Council President for the 2024-2025 academic year.
Jolene is completing her first year in the Social Service Worker program and is looking forward to bringing her inclusive, authentic and collaborative approach to her new role as President.
