Ryan Drouin was born and raised in North Bay, Ontario. Ryan is a graduate from Canadore College with a diploma in Recreation and Leisure Services and a post diploma certificate in Business Management. He has been working for Canadore College since 2007. Ryan is the manager of the Centre for Career Development, Sport and Wellness at Canadore College.
The Centre for Career Development goal is to find the best employees for part time, casual, summer jobs, internships or entry level career positions. Connecting students and graduates who possess the skills and abilities that employers seek in an employee. As part of the Centre for Career Development Ryan lead the formation of The Canadore College Alumni and Friends Mentorship Program. This networking program that matches students and recent grads for a career inspiring conversation (in person or online) with alumni or working professionals to learn, share and answer questions. Through the Centre for Career Developments Ryan also Increase in entrepreneurship activities to foster and encourage an overall sense of entrepreneurial development and innovation through awareness, educational activities and events. Working with community partners such as The Business Centre Nipissing Parry Sound, Innovation Initiatives Ontario North and the North Bay and District Chamber of Commerce to increase entrepreneurship opportunities for Canadore College students and alumni.
Ryan is also engaged in the community as a board Member of the member of the North Bay and District Chamber of Commerce and The Business Centre Nipissing Parry Sound.
