Canadore Students Take Home First Place Accolades from National Broadcasting Association

This month, students from Canadore College’s digital cinematography and television broadcasting programs took home top awards from the Broadcast Educators Association of Canada.
Jason Manella and Aaron Martini won first place in the Drama or Comedy Long category for their production, Daze of Dreams, and Keesha Cheechoo’s submission garnered her winning status in the Remote/Special grouping.
Cheechoo, Manella and Martini’s filmmaking talent was chosen from over 120 entries submitted by colleges and universities from across Canada. The Canadore productions were initially screened at the college’s annual School of Media, Design and Dramatic Arts Showcase, which was held at Galaxy Cinemas North Bay in April 2018.
